As Korea’s cultural heritages illegally sold abroad have been redeemed, including the documents at the National Library, many people are interested in redeeming the cultural heritages of Korea. Gyeongsangbuk-do cherishes the roots of Korean culture and has many cultural heritages that have been sold abroad. Therefore, redeeming Korea’s cultural heritages mean recovering our cultural spirit.
Korea Cultural Heritages Redemption Headquarter Corp. has been founded to recover Korea’s cultural ownership and for national movements related to redeeming Korea’s cultural heritages.
It is a great honor to found Korea Cultural Heritages Redemption Headquarter Corp. to recover Korea’s cultural ownership. We hope that this gives you an opportunity to motivate yourselves to cherish Korea’s precious cultural heritages in this age of culture.
It has been years since Korea’s cultural heritages have been illegally or coercively taken abroad through the Japanese Invasion of 1592, the invasions of Western Powers in the late Joseon Dynasty, and the Japanese imperial rule over Korea, but it is a shame that we have not redeemed them until today. Therefore, we are dedicated to a new resolution to redeem our heritages.
We must remember that it is urgent and important to redeem our precious cultural heritages and fulfill our mission and duties through Cultural Heritages Redemption Movements.
Founding Korea Cultural Heritages Redemption Headquarter Corp., we will develop our Cultural Heritages Redemption Movements into a national movement to recover our cultural ownership to establish Gyeongsangbuk-do’s spirit and identity and to build the foundation for Korea’s future of hopes.
Although it is already late, we intend to take initiatives to support Cultural Heritages Redemption Movements nationwide as our hometown has been the home to Gaya, Shilla, Confucianism, and Buddhism to support Korea’s national desire and recover our national spirit. We welcome active interests and participation of various social classes and declare the foundation of “Korea Cultural Heritages Redemption Headquarter Corp.”
